On Wednesday, September 3 the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce will take you back in time 30 years to 1978 where discothèques, platform shoes and mirror balls ruled the scene and top ten songs from that year–Night Fever, Stayin’ Alive, and Boogie, Oogie, Oogie–filled the night air. “Boogie Night,” the chamber’s annual Dinner in the Park, will transform Stewart Park’s Half Shell into an outdoor Studio 54. This year’s event promises to be a celebration of the Roseburg business community and all things disco! Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a social hour to beat all those that have come before. Dinner will be a catered buffet of bad–or baaaaaad–(which in ‘78 meant really good) disco-themed dishes. Fabulous local wines will be available. Dinner and dessert will be followed by the chamber’s always entertaining and fast-paced auction featuring spectacular adventure packages (and more) supported by the products, services and generosity of our members. Tickets sell out fast, so make your reservation early. A limited 300 tickets are available and can be purchased online at www.RoseburgAreaChamber.org and click on Upcoming Events. Dinner tickets are $40 each and tables of eight are available for $320.
